Responsibilities
- Drive security architecture, standards, and guardrails for agentic and AI-powered systems.
- Lead the conceptual and technical design of an agentic identity broker covering authentication, authorization, least privilege, auditability, and safe access to AI models and capabilities.
- Evolve threat modeling and risk assessment for prompt injection, excessive agency, data exfiltration, and model and tool supply-chain risks.
- Partner with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Risk on acceptable-use policies, approval processes, and AI governance forums.
- Mentor principal engineers and share AI and application security expertise across the engineering and security community.
- Collaborate with principal engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate security throughout the agentic systems lifecycle.
- Contribute hands-on to engineering code and technical designs while shaping company-wide security architecture direction.
- Track agentic AI, LLM security, AI regulation, and threat-landscape developments and incorporate them into standards and governance.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of security architecture, industry trends, and operating at scale within a large organization.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML and agentic systems security, including LLM integration patterns, tool use, function calling, prompt injection, agent identity, authorization, and guardrails, or a strong security architecture background with the ability to develop this expertise.
- Solid understanding of IAM, cloud security, containerization technologies, and secure software development practices.
- Excellent communication skills and experience leading organization-wide security collaborations.
- Ability to understand business context and customer problems.
- Broad software engineering experience or experience in adjacent fields involving large-scale engineering projects.
