Responsibilities
- Break down customer problems into executable work for the engineer and team.
- Independently complete software development tasks from start to finish with high quality.
- Design and build new and existing platform features and services.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders across Engineering, Support, Product, and Cloud.
- Apply engineering best practices to solve problems and deliver high-quality software.
- Mentor and help develop the team’s engineering skills.
- Support Jamf’s migration of products and services onto its Platform and Portal.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, ethical, and collaborative workplace.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing enterprise-grade software.
- At least 5 years of experience with current programming languages and tools relevant to the position, including Kotlin, Spring Boot, and AWS.
- Understanding of testing and quality assurance processes.
- Required two-year associate degree; a four-year bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Relevant combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Preferred experience with performance and load testing applications.
- Preferred hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI-driven coding assistants.
- Preferred experience building enterprise-level software and working in agile teams.
- Preferred track record of mentoring or coaching engineers.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Apple platform experience is preferred.
