Base Salary
$130k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build accessible, reusable components for shared React Native and web component libraries.
- Evolve design system components, tokens, patterns, documentation, and tooling.
- Partner with designers, product engineers, and stakeholders to translate design intent into durable implementations.
- Identify accessibility gaps and improve keyboard behavior, screen reader support, focus management, semantic structure, color contrast, and interaction patterns.
- Contribute to motion design, micro-interactions, transitions, and accessible interaction patterns.
- Create Storybook examples, usage guidance, migration notes, and technical documentation.
- Support product team migrations and adoption of shared components across the codebase.
- Write tests, maintain implementation quality, and participate in code reviews.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong frontend fundamentals and experience or interest in building reliable, maintainable user interfaces with React, React Native, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on accessibility experience or demonstrated interest in inclusive digital products.
- Interest in design systems, including component APIs, design tokens, documentation, adoption, consistency, and standardization.
- Ability to collaborate with designers and engineers and translate design intent into pragmatic implementations.
- Curiosity about motion design and interaction details, with willingness to build thoughtful and accessible motion patterns.
- Clear written and code-based communication skills, including documenting usage patterns and explaining tradeoffs.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and breaking larger improvements into incremental steps.
- Nice to have experience with design systems, component libraries, shared frontend platforms, React Native, mobile accessibility, animation libraries, cross-platform UI patterns, Storybook, Figma, design tokens, visual regression testing, frontend testing tools, or large-scale component migrations.
