Responsibilities
- Build high-traffic web applications with PHP/Laravel and Vue.js.
- Build internal and external APIs and background jobs handling peak volumes above one million jobs per hour.
- Participate in UI design, application architecture, and technology decisions with the Lead Engineer.
- Lead the technical conception of features supporting a newly designed business process.
- Own features from initial implementation through production operation, including health, performance, and maintainability.
- Deploy code multiple times daily through the GitLab CI/CD pipeline to AWS Elastic Container Service.
- Monitor applications using Datadog dashboards and alerting.
- Share knowledge and ideas through regular technical talks.
Requirements
- Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 and Laravel.
- Excellent coding skills in TypeScript and JavaScript, plus experience with Vue 3.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
- Background building complex products with strong user experiences.
- Expertise designing, securing, and scaling APIs.
- Experience with AWS, Git, Valkey, or equivalent technologies.
- Hands-on experience with relational database design and performance optimization, including MySQL 8.
- Commitment to well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Ability to work in an English-speaking environment.
- Experience with Inertia.js, SCSS, or Tailwind CSS is a plus.
