Responsibilities
- Build backend services and optimization algorithms for real-time energy asset processing.
- Develop operator dashboards for monitoring and controlling battery assets.
- Design and scale cloud infrastructure for distributed battery systems.
- Deploy production optimizations and improve them using real-world feedback.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define product features and requirements.
Requirements
- Up to five years of professional experience and a graduation date of 2023 or later.
- Full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with energy systems and energy management controllers, plus demonstrated interest in the energy sector.
- Experience as a founding engineer or founding product engineer, ideally at an early-stage startup.
- Experience deploying optimization methods in production and a solid understanding of mixed-integer optimization.
- Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, with a grade better than 2.0.
- Fluent or near-fluent German and a semester abroad at a highly regarded university in the US, UK, or Asia.
- Participation in a selective extracurricular university group is a plus.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of €70,000 to €100,000.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
- On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, five days per week.
