Responsibilities
- Define, design, and implement key components for the next generation of Filestore.
- Build software focused on performance, reliability, efficiency, and resilience.
- Help grow and mentor the team and influence architecture and design decisions.
- Collaborate with filesystem engineering, product management, program management, SRE, and UX/UI teams.
- Work with products and customers to address future requirements.
- Develop software primarily in C++.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking.
- Preferred: experience developing software in C++ or C.
