Base Salary
$195k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for the applicant funnel.
- Define and drive the architecture of the end-to-end loan journey.
- Identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks impacting conversion and reliability.
- Lead large, cross-team initiatives across various domains.
- Evolve platform architecture into scalable, reusable services and APIs.
- Translate complex business problems into effective systems.
- Drive experimentation and intelligent automation across the funnel.
- Establish best practices in system design and operational excellence.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering culture.
- Provide technical leadership beyond the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience operating at a Staff or Principal level.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience in decomposing tightly coupled systems into modular components.
- Familiarity with experiment-driven development and A/B testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Track record of mentoring and developing other engineers.
