Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features for Ring streaming and playback products.
- Own projects from initial idea through production deployment, including development, testing, infrastructure setup, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions involving reliability, scaling, and design patterns.
- Operate, deploy, and scale always-on distributed cloud systems serving Ring customers worldwide.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design cloud software solutions.
- Analyze production metrics and customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
Requirements
- Professional, non-internship software development experience.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Preferred experience with the Rust programming language.
- Preferred experience building SDLC AI agents.
