Base Salary
$110k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver IAM capabilities across the Ping platform, spanning infrastructure, databases, services, and UI experiences.
- Design and implement APIs, models, workflows, orchestration surfaces, and production services.
- Research and prototype emerging solutions and turn validated ideas into product features.
- Collaborate with product management, UX, and engineering teams to deliver usable and scalable outcomes.
- Participate in design, coding, testing, rollout, and production support activities.
- Use AI tooling such as Claude Code for research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation, and documentation.
- Communicate technical decisions, contribute to design discussions and code reviews, and support other engineers.
Requirements
- Experience designing, building, testing, and operating production services using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Google Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience building production services, distributed systems, or shared platform capabilities.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, RESTful services, integration contracts, and data or domain models.
- Experience translating requirements and ambiguous problems into designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management.
- Ability to use AI engineering tools with sound engineering judgment.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly, collaborate across teams and time zones, and support engineers through feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Preferred experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token exchange, policy systems, delegated administration, identity data modeling, AI agent identity, non-human identity, MCP, agent skills, distributed systems at scale, and proof-of-concept work.
