Base Salary
$79k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support the selling of Esri software and solutions as part of an account team.
- Build customer relationships and help plan and execute sales strategies.
- Develop local government subject-matter expertise and technical expertise in ArcGIS and Esri technologies.
- Craft and propose GIS solutions that address customers’ critical business challenges and align Esri technology with their needs.
- Design and deliver technical demonstrations and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advise customers on best practices for using, deploying, and administering Esri technology.
- Present Esri solutions at conferences and trade shows.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications with Esri technology.
- At least 1 year of experience working in or supporting local government.
- Understanding of ArcGIS in an IT context, including hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Experience in technical consulting, conceptual solution design, and sales or business development processes.
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying database management system technology.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25–50% and authorization to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
- Preferred: troubleshooting Esri application deployment and system architecture issues.
- Preferred: integrating software solutions with data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms.
- Preferred: incorporating real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure.
- Preferred: basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
- Preferred: programming and scripting experience with Python and JavaScript.
- Preferred: master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
