Base Salary
$191k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable backend systems and APIs for generative ad creative.
- Develop image and video editing engines and workflows that preserve brand assets and enforce brand guidelines.
- Build high-volume performance feedback systems using ad metrics to optimize creative generation.
- Optimize model orchestration, inference concurrency, latency, and infrastructure cost.
- Design low-latency content filtering, safety, and compliance middleware.
- Partner with Product, UX, and Ads ML leadership to define the technical roadmap and integrate with the Ad Manager UI and delivery stacks.
- Lead design reviews, improve code quality and reliability, document systems, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience architecting and scaling distributed backend systems using technologies such as Python and Go.
- Proven ability to design robust, performant, extensible microservices and APIs.
- Strong experience integrating ML models with production software, including model serving and resilient LLM/VLM data pipelines.
- Experience optimizing infrastructure for real-time generative workflows, high concurrency, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
- Ability to translate advertiser and business needs into scalable technical roadmaps and collaborate across Product, Design, and ML teams.
- Strong communication, technical influence, mentorship, design review, and code review skills.
- Proven experience building complex asset-heavy systems such as automated image/video processing pipelines or high-scale content creation workflows.
