Responsibilities
- Develop applications with Inductive Automation’s Ignition software, ranging from HMI applications to data-handling applications and full MES solutions.
- Design and implement software solutions for industrial automation, data-systems integration, IIoT, and automated test-system projects.
- Develop .NET desktop and web applications, database interfaces, specialized drivers, embedded systems, machine-vision systems, and test systems as needed.
- Create internal tools, including specialized CASE tools used by robot and PLC programmers.
- Travel domestically and internationally to JR Automation or customer facilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline with a demonstrated focus or interest in software engineering, or an associate/two-year degree combined with significantly applicable experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing Ignition applications.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Desirable qualifications include .NET programming, database design and SQL, machine learning and AI programming, machine vision, lab/test automation, low-level and embedded programming, and HMI/SCADA programming.
- Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check is required.
