Responsibilities
- Lead features and small-to-medium projects from requirements and design through implementation, release, and production support.
- Break down ambiguous requirements, assess technical trade-offs, and communicate assumptions, risks, and recommendations.
- Design, develop, review, test, and maintain secure and reliable software.
- Address reliability, performance, security, observability, error handling, and recovery in solution designs.
- Collaborate with product, quality, architecture, platform, and engineering teams to resolve dependencies and delivery blockers.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, debugging, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in on-call support, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for design, coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and analysis while validating outputs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including independent ownership of production features or projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with AWS services, cloud-native application development, PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB, data modeling, and performance considerations.
- Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, resilient integration patterns, Git, automated testing, code review, and secure development practices.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira.
- Preferred experience with Python, Node.js, OpenAPI/Swagger, infrastructure as code, observability platforms, production support, or SLOs.
- Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions, communicate clearly, work autonomously, and mentor teammates.
