Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee engineering projects while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to timelines.
- Define and implement test designs across multiple test levels and maintain automated test frameworks.
- Perform API, functional, system, performance, security, and accessibility testing as appropriate.
- Drive technical innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and support their technical career development.
- Manage engineering projects from conception to completion and promote best practices across the technical community.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, test design, and testing across multiple levels.
- Hands-on experience using and maintaining automated test frameworks such as Cucumber and JUnit.
- Knowledge of stubbing and mocking frameworks such as WireMock.
- Experience with non-functional testing, including performance, security, or accessibility testing.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Hands-on experience across all levels of the test automation pyramid.
- Experience in API testing, functional testing, or system testing.
- Experience using project management tools such as JIRA.
- Strong experience with iterative or incremental software delivery.
- Advanced technical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to mentor engineers, influence organisational change, and promote engineering best practices.
- Ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance and have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last five years.
