Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer end-to-end system features from user experience through backend code.
- Design scalable and maintainable software architectures and integrate frontend and backend components.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems through debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Integrate and evaluate LLM applications, including prompts, retrieval, structured outputs, APIs, and tool interactions.
- Assess LLM solutions for correctness, security, hallucination risk, dependency risk, performance, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
- Plan and coordinate LLM integration and evaluation workstreams, including estimates, task allocation, dependencies, and release readiness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Support junior team members through knowledge sharing and professional guidance.
- Apply coding, testing, deployment, security, observability, and versioning best practices.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Proficiency with LLMs and hands-on experience integrating and evaluating LLM APIs.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable software architectures.
- Understanding of cloud computing principles and agile development methodologies.
- Ability to build cohesive solutions across frontend and backend components.
- Experience with prompt design, context and token management, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, controlled tool or function calling, and evaluation methods.
- Experience using approved AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, reviewing generated code, and validating automated tests.
- Knowledge of Python or project-approved application languages, LLM SDKs and APIs, embedding models, retrieval or vector stores, and evaluation tooling such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, and investment operations.
- Ability to evaluate when prompt design, retrieval, or fine-tuning is appropriate and assess related quality, security, latency, and cost trade-offs.
- Fifteen years of full-time education is required.
