Base Salary
$197k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain the full-stack platform using scalable frontend applications and high-performance backend services.
- Lead technical decisions across frontend and backend development and drive technical initiatives affecting multiple teams.
- Design, develop, and optimize APIs for frontend applications and third-party integrations.
- Improve database design, indexing, query performance, caching, and data storage and retrieval efficiency.
- Enhance the design system and UI components using Material-UI.
- Own observability across the stack, including logging, monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Define and enforce frontend and backend testing strategies using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Collaborate with QA engineering to deliver high-quality, well-tested software.
- Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Communicate with engineers, product managers, customers, partners, and other leaders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on full-stack development using modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Deep expertise in React.js, state management, and scalable frontend architectures.
- Strong Node.js backend development experience, including GraphQL APIs with Apollo or Relay and RESTful services.
- Proficiency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
- Experience with frontend and backend performance optimization, event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and real-time data processing.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to quickly learn or prior knowledge of Python for backend development is preferred.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments and supporting automated deployments.
- Track record of mentoring and coaching engineers, along with strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
