Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality, performant, scalable, reusable, extensible, secure, and reliable APIs.
- Write microservices, extend in-house APIs, and develop client-side code that interacts with internal and external services and SDKs.
- Partner with front-end engineering teams to understand user requirements and build robust endpoints for high-performing interfaces.
- Champion DevOps practices involving continuous integration, infrastructure provisioning, automated deployment, testing, and version control.
- Drive strategic technical contributions in system design, architectural governance, and long-term technical roadmap development.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on software application development experience building production-grade software.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, or Quarkus Framework.
- Proven expertise building distributed, cloud-native applications focused on high availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerized deployments on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced Agile environment with minimal supervision.
- Curiosity about and active exploration of AI tools, including integrating new technologies to improve workflows and problem-solving.
- Preferred: experience switching among languages such as Java, Go, Python, or C++ based on project requirements.
- Preferred: experience designing complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated release workflows.
- Preferred: advanced knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and container infrastructure management.
