Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own architectural direction for highly ambiguous problem spaces while contributing directly to coding and system design.
- Influence technical decisions and outcomes across Google Cloud products and engineering organizations.
- Partner with engineering and product managers to define long-term roadmaps and align technical capabilities with customer and business needs.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to engineers across the team.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products, plus 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure, including areas such as model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or related concepts such as language modeling and computer vision.
- Experience developing software in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C, C++, or Go.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction is preferred.
- Experience shipping 0-to-1 AI applications and understanding product, quality, and infrastructure holistically is preferred.
- Knowledge of data warehouses, big data, SQL, and data governance is preferred.
Benefits
- US base salary is $262000-$364000, with a 25% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
