Base Salary
$162k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Android features using modern declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
- Partner with product and design teams to create polished and accessible Android experiences.
- Collaborate with backend, iOS, and web engineers to maintain consistent feature behavior and data across platforms.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code and participate in code and design reviews.
- Own features from technical design through launch and iteration with increasing scope and independence.
- Contribute to shared Android patterns and best practices as the team grows.
- Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and reliability problems affecting the Android app.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional Android engineering experience, including shipping features in a large-scale production consumer app.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android architecture, including declarative UI such as Jetpack Compose, unidirectional state management through MVI or MVVM, and dependency injection.
- Experience integrating APIs and collaborating with backend, iOS, and web engineers.
- A track record of delivering features from technical design through launch and iteration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a habit of seeking and acting on feedback.
- Comfort working with ambiguity on a newly formed team establishing new product surfaces.
- Understanding of mobile app performance, accessibility, and release and CI practices for a large-scale consumer app.

- Base pay range is $162,000–$186,000 USD.
