Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within the technical domain.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects and programs.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IDMC/IICS, SQL, and Python.
  • Lead modernization and migration initiatives from PowerCenter and SSIS to IDMC and Python-based data processing frameworks.
  • Build Python utilities, frameworks, and automation for data ingestion, validation, reconciliation, logging, monitoring, and orchestration.
  • Implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, data quality processes, error handling, audit logging, restartability, and performance tuning.
  • Develop data integration processes across relational databases, flat files, APIs, cloud storage, and SaaS platforms.
  • Support production deployments, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, data modelers, peers, managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Lead projects, act as an escalation point, guide less experienced staff, and contribute to technical, design, and code reviews.
  • Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-sharing artifacts.
  • Work with enterprise scheduling and orchestration tools.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience with SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter, and Informatica IDMC/IICS, including CDI, CAI, Mass Ingestion, and Data Quality.
  • Advanced SQL experience with SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Python experience, including Pandas, PySpark, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with data integration across heterogeneous sources, cloud platforms, and enterprise data warehouses.
  • Experience implementing data quality, validation, reconciliation, logging, monitoring, error handling, restartability, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling and orchestration tools such as Control-M, Autosys, SQL Agent, or Informatica Scheduler.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
