Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction, architecture, and operational health of a business domain or significant application area.
  • Lead complex initiatives through requirements, design, implementation, release, and production stabilization.
  • Make independent technical decisions, explain trade-offs, and simplify systems while balancing speed, quality, security, performance, and cost.
  • Define and improve engineering practices for coding, testing, code review, configuration management, observability, and incident response.
  • Partner with product, architecture, security, platform, and engineering teams to resolve dependencies and deliver outcomes.
  • Mentor engineers across teams and contribute to technical reviews, knowledge sharing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for design, coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and analysis while validating outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Typically 5–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems and technical leadership beyond an individual module or feature.
  • Strong hands-on experience with .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, React, TypeScript, AWS, PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB, and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with distributed systems, event-driven integration patterns, Git, automated testing, code quality, and secure development practices.
  • Experience using Jira and delivering through Agile/Scrum.
  • Preferred experience includes Python, Node.js, OpenAPI/Swagger, infrastructure as code, observability platforms, and defining SLAs/SLOs.
