Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale core AI systems, including Retrieval Augmented Generation pipelines and agentic workflows.
- Fine-tune and adapt language models for specialized legal tasks when off-the-shelf solutions are insufficient.
- Develop evaluation methods and monitoring systems for the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of AI features in production.
- Identify and apply effective AI research techniques and tools to solve product challenges.
- Collaborate with product, backend, and in-house legal experts to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience focused on building and shipping AI/ML-powered products.
- Deep proficiency in Python and the ability to build scalable, production-grade systems.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Familiarity with the full machine learning project lifecycle.
- A data-driven, pragmatic approach to technical problem solving and product delivery.
- Strong ownership of features from concept through deployment and iteration.
- Experience in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment is preferred.
