Responsibilities
- Drive maintenance, technical design, development, deployment, and integration of front-end and back-end systems.
- Improve Vistra’s data architecture through new solutions, enhancements, research, and data management recommendations.
- Identify and implement automation and continuous improvement opportunities aligned with ITIL processes.
- Define data and forecasting needs with business users, process owners, architecture, and application teams.
- Create policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures supporting data availability, performance, risk mitigation, and business outcomes.
- Analyze code for non-standard practices, errors, and security vulnerabilities, and develop remediation plans.
- Manage delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives for supported platforms.
- Use unit testing and a test-driven development mindset.
- Coach and provide domain guidance to junior and less experienced team members.
- Consult with managers and stakeholders on adoption, communication, training, and engagement for Technology Services processes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to business cases and innovative value creation ideas.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of professional experience in a technology or business field.
- Proven experience analyzing code for non-standard practices, errors, and security vulnerabilities and presenting remediation plans.
- Ability to use a test-driven mindset with well-structured unit tests.
- Experience managing and delivering enterprise-wide initiatives related to supported platforms.
- Knowledge of financial principles and industry-related and emerging technology.
- Strong organizational, communication, attention-to-detail, executive communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships and support among peers, stakeholders, and leaders.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, CSM, or AWS are preferred.
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to the stated skills.
