Responsibilities
- Drive maintenance, technical design, development, deployment, and integration of front-end and back-end systems.
- Integrate data warehouses with enterprise applications and implement user access controls and data security measures where appropriate.
- Manage solutions and enhancements supporting Vistra’s data architecture, data management processes, and innovation initiatives.
- Identify and implement automation and continuous-improvement ideas for ITIL-aligned processes and technical debt.
- Analyze code for non-standard practices, errors, and security vulnerabilities, and develop remediation plans.
- Use a test-driven development mindset with well-structured unit tests.
- Deliver enterprise-wide initiatives related to supported platforms and improve system, application, and data performance.
- Partner with business users, process owners, architecture, application teams, managers, and stakeholders to define data and forecast needs.
- Create policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures that mitigate risk and optimize data availability, responsiveness, and quality.
- Coach and provide domain guidance to junior and less experienced team members.
- Support training, stakeholder engagement, executive communications, and adoption of Technology Services processes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to business cases using financial and industry knowledge.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of professional experience in a technology or business field.
- Proven experience analyzing code for non-standard practices, errors, and security vulnerabilities and presenting detailed remediation plans.
- Experience using a test-driven mindset and well-structured unit tests.
- Experience managing and delivering enterprise-wide initiatives related to supported platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, stakeholder relationship, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to create executive-level communications and interact with leaders.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, solve challenges innovatively, and contribute effectively as a team player.
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to the stated skills.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, CSM, or AWS are a plus.
