Responsibilities
- Build and support DevOps infrastructure for large-scale, multi-industry, eCommerce, and enterprise software projects using Terraform.
- Create and maintain virtual and physical environments across development, QA, staging, pre-production, and live stages, including data and external application integrations.
- Implement infrastructure as code, configuration management, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment practices.
- Perform system administration, programming, scripting, monitoring, pipeline, and application-platform configuration work.
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers and help improve DevOps and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with IT operations, digital delivery teams, stakeholders, and clients in a professional services environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in DevOps, Terraform, and developer roles in an agile context.
- Expertise in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
- Experience with system administration across operating systems, application stacks, relational and NoSQL databases, containerisation, microservices, IaaS, and PaaS.
- Experience programming and scripting with technologies such as Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet and with implementing infrastructure as code.
- Experience configuring monitoring tools such as New Relic, Sensu, Icinga, Nagios, Zabbix, and Unicentre.
- Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and DNS.
- Experience with development pipelines and tools such as Git, Jenkins, TFS, SonarQube, GoCD, Maven, Ant, NPM, and Artifactory.
- Knowledge of agile development environments and DevOps practices, plus experience coaching colleagues and managing stakeholders.
- Professional services or client-facing experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to work with one or multiple clients are helpful.
