Base Salary
$198k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive cross-squad technical strategy and resolve systemic challenges affecting multiple product areas.
- Own complex initiatives by developing core abstractions, proof-of-concepts, and technical standards.
- Architect cloud-native distributed systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka for global concurrency and high-throughput reliability.
- Mentor Senior and Staff engineers, expand interview capabilities, and improve code review and design review standards.
- Partner with engineering leadership to align technical debt reduction with product goals and translate high-level objectives into executable roadmaps.
- Use performance profiling and system metrics to guide architectural decisions and anticipate production bottlenecks.
- Evaluate and integrate AI-generated code and champion AI-assisted development practices.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional engineering experience, including building tools, frameworks, or Golden Paths adopted across multiple squads or departments.
- Deep, current expertise in C#, .NET Core, and the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Extensive hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud-native patterns, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience leading a major architectural shift or complex cross-domain integration.
- Experience mentoring senior-level engineers, expanding interview benches, and raising code and design quality standards.
- Ability to translate ambiguous leadership goals into clear technical roadmaps.
- Experience using performance profiling and system metrics to evaluate architecture and identify bottlenecks.
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent high-level practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, or other AI services, into production applications.
