Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate Lua code for accuracy, quality, performance, and best practices.
- Complete technical evaluations and scripting tasks involving Lua programming.
- Identify bugs, performance issues, and opportunities to improve existing code.
- Develop and modify Lua scripts based on project requirements.
- Use Roblox Studio and Roblox development environments where applicable.
- Provide technical feedback and code evaluations to support AI model training.
- Collaborate with the client's AI evaluation platform while following detailed project guidelines.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Lua programming, including scripting, debugging, and code optimization.
- Hands-on experience using Roblox Studio and/or developing applications or games on the Roblox platform.
- Strong understanding of data structures, functions, modular programming, and performance optimization.
- Ability to independently review, analyze, and improve existing Lua code.
- Professional working proficiency in English with strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed technical instructions.
- Experience developing Roblox games or interactive experiences is a nice-to-have.
- Experience reviewing code or conducting technical quality assurance is a nice-to-have.
- Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and code optimization techniques is a nice-to-have.
- Experience contributing to AI, machine learning, or code evaluation projects is a nice-to-have.
Benefits
- Fully remote, project-based opportunity.
- Expected workload is 10–39 hours per week, with work volume subject to fluctuation.
- Upwork contract offer and onboarding instructions are provided to qualified candidates.
- Candidates who complete the initial survey may be invited to a paid technical evaluation lasting approximately 2–3 hours.
- Approved technical evaluations receive a $150 payment.
- Weekly lump-sum payments are made for work completed during the previous week.
- An active Upwork contract with the client is required to begin onboarding and access project tasks.
