Base Salary

$140k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design AI-native enterprise architectures and multi-agent ecosystems integrating enterprise applications, data platforms, and business processes.
  • Define human-agent capability matrices, operating models, context engineering frameworks, and knowledge orchestration approaches.
  • Establish governance guardrails, autonomy policies, escalation controls, human oversight mechanisms, and standards for traceability, transparency, and auditability.
  • Architect Responsible AI frameworks addressing bias mitigation, explainability, model transparency, ethical adoption, and audit trails.
  • Lead client architecture workshops and executive design reviews and govern AI-First Application Development Lifecycle adoption.
  • Define standards for AI-generated code quality, validation, production readiness, compliance, monitoring, and observability.
  • Drive reusable AI architecture patterns, accelerators, playbooks, strategy, and innovation roadmaps across engagements.
  • Mentor architects, AI engineers, and enterprise technology leaders and contribute to Cognizant's AI intellectual property and best practices.

Requirements

  • 8 to 15 years of overall IT experience.
  • At least 3 years in Enterprise Architecture, AI Architecture, or Digital Transformation leadership roles.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale AI and Generative AI solutions.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology transformation programs across multiple business domains.
  • Strong experience working directly with executive stakeholders and client architecture boards.
  • Expertise in Agentic AI, Generative AI, AI Functional Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Responsible AI, Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Multi-Agent Systems, AI Governance and Compliance, cloud-native AI architectures, and AI Platform Strategy.
  • Experience with enterprise digital transformation, AI strategy and governance, regulated business processes, and human-in-the-loop AI systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred experience includes financial services, healthcare and life sciences, insurance, regulatory technology, cloud platforms, AI security and risk management, and MLOps or AI operations.
  • A master's degree is preferred.
