Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy end-to-end AI workflows and agents across multiple business domains.
- Develop agent architectures, evaluation pipelines, monitoring systems, and performance frameworks.
- Lead technical projects end to end and set standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and project scoping.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
- Work with customers and internal stakeholders to translate requirements into technical plans.
- Identify and improve gaps in internal tooling, frameworks, and processes.
- Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with Marketing, GTM, Recruiting, Product, and other teams to identify agent-driven automation opportunities.
- Contribute components, documentation, and shared tools to the LangChain and LangGraph open-source ecosystems.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
- Direct experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications or agents in production.
- Experience leading technical projects, mentoring engineers, and raising team technical quality.
- Hands-on experience implementing evaluation and monitoring systems for agents or workflows.
- Deep understanding of prompting, retrieval, orchestration, inference APIs, and model selection across modalities.
- Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript, ideally both.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical ideas.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York, NY.
- Expertise with LangChain or LangGraph is preferred.
- Experience building or maintaining open-source projects is preferred.
