Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production-grade AI and ML systems at scale.
- Own the full lifecycle of agentic applications and ML solutions, including data pipelines, model development, evaluation, observability, and performance optimization.
- Build and deploy multi-agent systems and other AI applications in cloud environments.
- Design and evaluate RAG pipelines and apply traditional machine learning where appropriate.
- Develop APIs and services using FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js.
- Implement tracing, metrics, dashboards, caching, retrieval optimization, and latency improvements.
- Deploy models, agents, and applications through CI/CD workflows.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate complex development tasks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building production systems and applications, including AI/ML applications.
- At least 2 years of experience developing generative AI applications using LLMs, RAG frameworks, and vector stores.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js for API and service development.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, and cloud services such as Bedrock, AI Foundry, SageMaker, AI Studio, EKS, ECS, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and Strands, and with tool or function calling patterns.
- Experience implementing observability with OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or CloudWatch and creating performance metrics dashboards.
- Experience with Copilot, Codex, or Claude Code for complex development tasks.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM field.
- Preferred experience supporting Department of War clients or other federal mission environments.
- Preferred experience with prompt caching, guardrails, agentic memory, Model Context Protocol, agentic deployment strategies, chatbot development, agent-to-agent development, Databricks, Snowflake, and large data processing pipelines.
- A master's degree is preferred.
