Base Salary
$99k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement complete AI and machine learning systems for Defense and Intelligence clients.
- Build production-grade ML solutions involving LLMs, agents, multimodal data, and complex automation frameworks.
- Train, deploy, integrate, and optimize ML models across AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
- Connect agents to APIs, cloud platforms, and databases and design scalable service-based software applications.
- Evaluate LLM performance and build observation layers for stakeholders using monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Assess architectural tradeoffs and support software deployment and integration into varied mission environments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an ML engineer building production-grade ML solutions, including LLMs, agents, or complex automation frameworks.
- At least 3 years of professional or academic data science or data research experience, including training or deploying models across multiple data modalities.
- At least 3 years of experience working in cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and integrating production-grade ML models with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with LLMs, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI, or LlamaIndex.
- Experience evaluating LLM performance and building observation layers with Grafana, Langfuse, LangSmith, or Phoenix.
- Bachelor’s degree and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include TensorFlow, PyTorch, llama.cpp, vLLM, Kafka, Redpanda, Confluent, computer vision, NLP, signal processing, client engagements, project work, and business development experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and adaptability skills are preferred.
