Base Salary
$78k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Train, test, deploy, and maintain machine learning models.
- Architect, build, and deploy intelligent agentic solutions across legacy infrastructure and modern platforms.
- Apply appropriate machine learning algorithms and technologies to mission-critical solutions.
- Build AI-enabled features and prototypes using LLMs, embeddings, third-party APIs, prompt engineering, and AI agent frameworks.
- Develop backend services and build or consume RESTful APIs.
- Follow code review practices, document work, and maintain clean, reusable code.
- Collaborate with senior architects, platform leads, machine learning engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise and mission solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with machine learning engineering in software engineering or data engineering roles.
- Experience building AI-enabled features or prototypes using LLMs, embeddings, or third-party APIs, including OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Experience with prompt engineering and LLM SDKs or frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Experience with application containerization and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their AI or ML services.
- Experience developing backend services and building or consuming RESTful APIs.
- Secret clearance is required, or applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Computer Science or Engineering bachelor’s degree preferred; a master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, or Claude Code is preferred.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks, open-source AI projects such as Ollama, Git, CI/CD workflows, or Docker is preferred.
