Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain MCP servers and supporting Python integration components.
- Create reusable MCP tools, resources, prompts, schemas, interfaces, connectors, and services for approved enterprise applications and data sources.
- Develop secure read-only and transactional integrations with APIs, databases, web services, PeopleSoft, Oracle, case-management systems, and knowledge repositories.
- Implement authentication, authorization, service identities, tokens, certificates, least-privilege controls, validation, error handling, retries, timeouts, logging, monitoring, and failure recovery.
- Develop APIs, backend services, adapters, database queries, mocks, test harnesses, and automated integration tests.
- Troubleshoot MCP servers, Python code, APIs, authentication, databases, network connectivity, and downstream enterprise systems.
- Document MCP interfaces, tool definitions, API specifications, data mappings, deployment procedures, and operational support processes.
- Establish reusable MCP development patterns, coding standards, security practices, and integration frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, backlog refinement, demonstrations, testing, release readiness, and Agile/SAFe delivery activities.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on software development, systems integration, API development, middleware, backend development, or comparable enterprise integration experience.
- Strong hands-on Python skills for developing services, APIs, libraries, connectors, and integration components.
- Hands-on experience developing MCP servers, tools, resources, or comparable AI tool-integration capabilities.
- Experience integrating applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise services, including secure database integrations using SQL.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, authentication, authorization, schemas, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with service authentication, secrets management, certificates or tokens, least-privilege access, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Experience with validation, retries, timeouts, exception handling, logging, monitoring, failure recovery, automated testing, Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and debugging.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise MCP development, Oracle Database and PL/SQL, PeopleSoft HCM or CRM, REST/SOAP and OpenAPI/Swagger, cloud SDKs, OAuth/OIDC, Docker, Kubernetes, OCI, Azure DevOps, secured Federal or DoD systems, and relevant certifications.
