- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of scalable mobile automation frameworks using Appium.
- Define and drive mobile automation strategy across projects and releases.
- Review automation scripts for coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Mentor automation engineers through technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, clients, and UI/UX teams throughout the SDLC.
- Lead automation planning, estimation, execution, release activities, and deployment-readiness validation.
- Integrate automation suites with GitHub and Jenkins and drive code quality initiatives using SonarQube.
- Perform API validation with Postman and use Charles Proxy for mobile debugging and network analysis.
- Analyze execution results, lead defect triage, perform root cause analysis, and improve quality processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, release planning, technical discussions, and stakeholder-facing activities.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of software quality engineering experience.
- Expert-level Appium experience for Android and iOS automation, with at least 2 years of Appium or other mobile automation experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with native UI testing tools such as Espresso and XCUITest.
- At least 1 year of experience with device emulation or simulator tools such as Perfecto or BrowserStack.
- At least 3 years of test automation using Java.
- At least 3 years of experience with test management tools such as QTest or QualityCenter.
- At least 3 years of experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or Rally.
- At least 3 years of experience with API testing or debugging tools such as Postman.
- At least 1 year in an informal technical leadership role working with technical teams.
- Functional testing experience is mandatory, with Appium mandatory and XCUITest or Espresso preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field; additional equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Strong technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
