Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable automated test suites in Playwright using maintainable design patterns.
  • Drive end-to-end quality across UI and API layers, including API validation and automated regression coverage.
  • Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure coverage runs continuously on pull requests.
  • Partner with architects, developers, product managers, delivery leaders, stakeholders, and partners to define requirements, acceptance criteria, test plans, and automation priorities.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing for major projects, including new partner and client integrations.
  • Use monitoring signals, incident reviews, and customer feedback to identify quality improvements.
  • Review and execute manual test cases in test management tooling and incorporate appropriate scenarios into automated regression suites.
  • Improve documentation, workflows, and quality processes and standardize effective practices.
  • Use AI to accelerate test development and maintenance and share effective approaches with the team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of QA experience testing SaaS or cloud applications, with a strong understanding of the full SDLC and Quality Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on test automation framework experience using Playwright, Cypress, or a similar tool, including end-to-end test suite development and maintenance.
  • Strong TypeScript and/or Go experience.
  • Experience testing both UI and API layers, including API validation with tools such as Postman.
  • Knowledge of test architecture and scalable design patterns such as Page Object Model, data factories, and separation of concerns.
  • Automation-first experience with reliable coverage integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Agile fluency, comfort with rapid release cycles, and familiarity with test management platforms such as Allure TestOps.
  • Initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to communicate quality risks and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases is a plus.
  • Experience building AI agents or applications that improve testing speed is a plus.
  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, banking, insurance, or other financial services is a plus.
