Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Python microservices.
- Design and develop cloud-based software products using industry best practices.
- Build systems, services, and tools that securely scale across millions of transactions.
- Build and scale online services and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with other teams on security, reliability, and automation.
- Support testing, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.
- Provide architectural leadership for backend applications and help select architecture, frameworks, and tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience.
- Expertise in Python and experience building complex systems and applications.
- Strong database and data modeling skills, including experience with Postgres or MySQL.
- Experience with web frameworks such as Spring and Flask and related ecosystems.
- Ability to provide architectural leadership and select architectures, frameworks, and tooling.
- Experience leading and owning projects from beginning to end.
- Familiarity with containerization, microservices architecture, continuous integration, Amazon Web Services, and deployment.
- Experience with agile methodologies and automated testing.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
