Base Salary
$120k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy, roadmaps, architecture reviews, engineering standards, and technical decisions across multiple Corporate Functions initiatives.
- Design, build, modernize, and support scalable enterprise applications, APIs, distributed services, and cloud-native architectures.
- Lead Java engineering using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, and container technologies.
- Develop Databricks-based data pipelines, integration services, ETL/ELT frameworks, lakehouse architectures, and analytical data products.
- Design integrations across Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Databricks, vendor SaaS solutions, and internal enterprise applications.
- Drive cloud-native practices, infrastructure automation, observability, monitoring, logging, CI/CD, and containerized workloads in partnership with cloud and infrastructure teams.
- Personally solve complex technical problems, conduct code and engineering quality reviews, and optimize performance, scalability, security, and resilience.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical career paths, build communities of practice, and participate in senior engineering hiring and assessments.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience and 8+ years developing enterprise solutions with Java technologies.
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs/MCPs, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
- Proven experience leading development for large-scale enterprise platforms and designing scalable, resilient software architectures.
- Strong hands-on development, troubleshooting, architecture, performance optimization, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading technical teams without direct management authority.
- Strong understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, DevOps, testing, and release management.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred qualifications include strong Databricks and modern data-engineering experience, AWS experience, corporate-functions domain experience, AI-enabled and data-driven application experience, analytics and reporting platform experience, financial-services experience, and cloud, Java, Databricks, or architecture certifications.
