Base Salary

$149k - $201k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complex technical problems and select innovative and effective solutions.
  • Serve as the link between custom, COTS, or OSS applications and the Navy platform environment.
  • Develop and maintain platform systems, CI/CD components, runner deployments, UDS packaging, and process automation.
  • Implement infrastructure as code and build or maintain Kubernetes clusters across distributions including EKS and RKE2.
  • Apply cloud-native deployment practices, secure coding, security automation, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Contribute to platform architecture, strategic planning, monitoring, performance instrumentation, and product decisions.
  • Collaborate with application teams, platform teams, and external partners while advocating engineering best practices.
  • Guide, mentor, and support other engineers through technical leadership, pairing, and code reviews.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • Strong programming skills and deep familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Expertise in solving complex technical problems across multiple knowledge domains.
  • Deep proficiency in one or two key technologies such as full-stack application development, GitOps, Kubernetes, Tofu, AWS, or Go.
  • Experience creating Kubernetes manifests, Kubernetes CRDs, and pipeline configurations with YAML.
  • Proficiency in security automation, API Security, Container Security, and Cloud Security.
  • Experience with architecture security design, monitoring, and performance instrumentation in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience with continuous delivery, distributed architectures, everything-as-code, containerization, and cloud services.
  • Experience working remotely on a team following an Agile framework and ability to lead a team as required.
  • Ability to identify process gaps, work independently, make technical decisions, and evaluate new products against mission objectives.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers through pairing and code reviews.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
  • Experience with Department of Defense work, including a production Authority to Operate system.
  • Experience with UDS Core, Iron Bank, and/or C-ATO processes.
