Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and performance-optimize core building blocks of LLM inference, including attention, MLP, quantization, speculative decoding, and mixture-of-experts systems.
- Adapt the latest research in LLM optimization to AWS Neuron chips.
- Optimize performance and accuracy for open-source and internally developed models on Neuron devices.
- Collaborate across teams with chip architects, compiler engineers, and runtime engineers.
- Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience in software design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
