Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support scalable PHP backend and web-tier applications.
- Integrate Java/Spring Boot microservices using APIs, OpenAPI specifications, Swagger contracts, and gRPC services where applicable.
- Develop typed client libraries and DTO mappings between PHP applications and Java service payloads.
- Maintain data consistency across platforms, including date/time handling, decimal and integer precision, null management, and serialization.
- Implement OAuth2, JWT, service-to-service authentication, authorization, and correlation ID propagation.
- Maintain code quality through static analysis, code reviews, dependency management, and secure development practices.
- Provide enterprise application and production support, including complex issue resolution and preferred L3 support responsibilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is required, with 3 to 4 years preferred or expected in PHP backend development and enterprise application support.
- At least 2 years of hands-on PHP development experience in production environments is required.
- PHP development experience using Laravel or Symfony is mandatory.
- Experience integrating PHP applications with Java/Spring Boot microservices is highly preferred.
- Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery environments is required.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, API development, enterprise integration patterns, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development is desirable.
- Experience with OTT, streaming, broadcast, or digital media platforms and technologies such as HLS, DASH, Widevine, PlayReady, and FairPlay is preferred.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, React, Blade, Twig, ServiceNow, and Jira Service Management is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are required.
- A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
