Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows and orchestration scripts within the OSS platform.
- Own and grow the automation backlog by identifying candidates for automation.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for validation of workflows.
- Execute test plans, document results, and track defects in collaboration with internal teams.
- Produce clear documentation for test plans, test cases, and coverage summaries.
- Cooperate with internal teams to gather requirements and identify next steps for automation.
- Identify automation failures and drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Continuously improve automation reliability and maintainability based on feedback.
- Act as the first line of support for OSS automated processes in production.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all introduced automation workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in automation engineering or test engineering.
- Proven experience in designing and building automation workflows and orchestration scripts.
- Solid proficiency in Python or another scripting language and familiarity with test frameworks.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration or BPM tools like Camunda or Apache Airflow.
- Ability to query and manipulate data in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Strong command of test strategy design and defect lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with telecom OSS concepts like FCAPS and TMF eTOM framework.
- Practical exposure to network operations workflows and service assurance processes.
- Hands-on experience integrating automation with REST APIs and messaging systems.
- Experience embedding quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical experience with monitoring and logging tools for observability.
