Base Salary
$139k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, production-grade AI, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions aligned with business needs.
- Develop reusable architecture patterns, reference architectures, design standards, and interoperability practices for enterprise AI initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into AI platform designs covering LLM integration, RAG pipelines, memory systems, and tool or function calling.
- Define target-state architectures and technology roadmaps, lead proof-of-concepts, and support modernization and technical-debt reduction.
- Support AI governance, risk management, responsible AI, and compliance processes for safe production deployments.
- Collaborate with technology, engineering, product, business, domain, and leadership teams while communicating architectural direction and securing buy-in.
- Stay current with foundation models, agentic frameworks, cloud AI services, and emerging AI platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM or technology field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
- At least 6 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience; the ideal candidate has 8 years of architecture experience.
- Strong architecture expertise and recent hands-on engineering experience with modern technologies, including successful delivery of large-scale technology initiatives.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML systems, including core machine-learning algorithms and neural-network architectures.
- Experience with generative AI foundations, LLMs, transformer architectures, prompt engineering, agentic AI patterns, RAG, memory systems, vector databases, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, Strands, and Crew AI, plus integration protocols such as MCP.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock and AgentCore; Azure Foundry, Agent 365, or GCP/Gemini AI experience is optional.
- Familiarity with MLOps, AI Ops, and AI/ML workflow practices, along with responsible AI, AI ethics, governance, and risk-management principles.
- Hands-on experience with Claude Enterprise/CLI/Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot.
- Advanced leadership, influence, communication, judgment, strategic thinking, collaboration, and business-acumen skills.
- Experience supporting transformational change and working in an agile operational model; insurance technology and insurance-industry knowledge are preferred.
