Base Salary
$179k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions across Agile teams.
- Influence developers, data analysts, and data scientists working with machine learning, distributed microservices, lakehouse architecture, and full-stack systems.
- Build and operate scalable cloud data solutions, applications, data pipelines, and data platforms.
- Architect and enforce reusable data engineering design patterns for code quality, maintainability, and consistency.
- Design data models and end-to-end solutions using relational and non-relational database systems.
- Ensure data platforms and pipelines provide scalability, resilience, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Implement data security standards including encryption at rest and in transit and fine-grained access controls.
- Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to deliver cloud-first data solutions.
- Mentor data community members and communicate technical concepts and data outcomes to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of application development experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience in distributed data, SQL, a programming language, and data pipeline design and development.
- At least 1 year of experience in data modeling and designing end-to-end solutions with relational and non-relational databases.
- Preferred: 7+ years of application development experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- Preferred: 4+ years designing, deploying, and operating workloads in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: experience with distributed data or compute workloads, streaming pipelines, data observability, orchestration, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing.
- Preferred: experience in Agile development and developing reusable, user-centric data products.
