Base Salary

$114k - $182k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collect, cleanse, analyze, validate, and prepare data for storage and organizational or client use.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Develop and support data warehouse solutions using AWS architecture and modern data-stack technologies.
  • Create and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports aligned with business requirements.
  • Implement data quality assurance, testing, audits, investigations, and integrity assessments.
  • Develop and document data policies, processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and implement solutions that meet them.
  • Partner with customers and database or data warehouse teams to develop solutions and improve data collection processes.
  • Participate in Agile rituals and follow Scaled Agile processes established by the Common Data Platform program.

Requirements

  • At least 6-15+ years of relevant experience, depending on the level.
  • Bachelor’s degree specializing in STEM or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
  • Recent experience developing and analyzing complex SQL across relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Advanced data analytics experience designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Experience using core AWS services and AWS architecture best practices to build and support data warehouse solutions.
  • Experience with GitLab repository and software development workflows.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud deployments and processes.
  • Experience with Databricks, Collibra, and Starburst.
  • Experience with Python and PySpark.
  • Experience using Jupyter notebooks for coding and unit testing.
  • Experience with modern data-stack technologies including S3, Spark, Airflow, lakehouse architectures, real-time databases, Redshift, and Snowflake.
  • Senior to advanced understanding of the discipline, with the ability to work independently and serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
  • US citizenship or lawful permanent resident status with at least three years of US residency from legal entry.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Benefits

  • Full-time, regular employment with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
  • Work is fully onsite within a reasonable commuting distance of the employing Reserve Bank; remote work is not eligible.
  • Locations may include Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, San Francisco, or branch offices.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
  • The role includes Federal Reserve total rewards and benefits.
