Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, and support enterprise software applications using Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and modern backend frameworks.
- Architect, build, and operate scalable APIs and services using service decomposition, API gateway, inter-service communication, and event-driven patterns.
- Design PostgreSQL data models and optimize relational database solutions while evaluating NoSQL and vector database options.
- Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, rate limiting, secrets management, and other secure application patterns.
- Own containerized deployment and operational support using Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE.
- Build and maintain deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
- Integrate LLMs into production applications using prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and model evaluation practices.
- Mentor engineers, guide technical delivery, and collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience in enterprise-scale or production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript; Java experience is preferred.
- Full-stack development experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend and FastAPI, Spring Boot, or comparable backend frameworks.
- Experience designing, developing, and operating APIs and services at scale, including REST, gRPC, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on PostgreSQL database design, relational schema design, and query optimization experience; NoSQL and vector database exposure is preferred.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, role-based access control, API security, input validation, rate limiting, and secrets management.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/GKE for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience owning deployment pipeline lifecycles using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience with GKE, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, and related services; Azure experience is a plus.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience integrating large language models into production applications is preferred.
- Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, fine-tuning, and model evaluation is preferred.
- Experience with Anthropic Claude, Claude Code, OpenAI, or Gemini is preferred, along with familiarity with agentic AI workflows and Model Context Protocol servers.
- Familiarity with structured logging and distributed tracing is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree, specialized training, or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
Benefits
- The stated pay range is €50,000.00–€125,000.00.
