Base Salary
$155k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-traffic full-stack payment applications from database to user interface.
- Build secure integrations with global Payment Service Providers using modern protocols and API standards.
- Develop responsive frontend experiences and robust backend services using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Design lightweight, documented APIs for client, SDK, and cross-team communication.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, engineering leaders, and architects to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive complex technical designs, architecture improvements, modernization, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance while meeting performance, reliability, security, and SLA requirements.
- Apply API security, cryptography, secure hashing, and vulnerability remediation practices across the application stack.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with React, Vue.js, or Angular and solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience designing APIs using REST, Webhooks, SOAP, and GraphQL.
- Proficiency with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with Azure or AWS, including deployment, scaling, and managed services.
- Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites.
- Strong object-oriented design and design-pattern knowledge.
- Experience applying API security best practices, cryptographic algorithms, secure hashing, and SAST/DAST vulnerability tools.
- Understanding of PCI DSS and GDPR in payment systems.
- Experience working across distributed global teams and time zones.
- Preferred experience with AI development tools, AI/ML concepts, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, message brokers, event-driven architectures, and observability platforms.
