Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components that interact with fulfillment-center technologies such as material handling equipment, computer vision, robotics, and cloud services.
- Build high-quality software and design large-scale data stores for high-frequency data with low-latency access.
- Participate in coding standards, code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Estimate development tasks, negotiate timelines, and identify and mitigate technical and project risks.
- Document and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders and team members.
- Mentor junior engineers and help them develop technical skills and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
