Engineer III - Platform Data Engineer (Remote)

Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, administer, and operate Airflow and Superset in production.
- Manage Terraform infrastructure-as-code for data platform components.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow deployments.
- Implement platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Develop dbt data models and catalog data assets in OpenMetadata.
- Write Python for platform automation and data processing.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Requirements
- Eligibility for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience, including 5+ years of advanced Python programming.
- Expertise deploying and administering Apache Airflow and strong experience managing Apache Superset or similar BI platforms.
- Cloud platform expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI, including IAM, networking, and managed services.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code and production experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker.
- Knowledge of dbt, OpenMetadata, SQL, data modeling, data security, and compliance requirements.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s degree, cybersecurity data experience, open-source contributions, and knowledge of machine learning pipelines.
