Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Deliver and support high-quality banking applications and mission-critical systems with significant batch-processing requirements.
- Use Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq script to develop and maintain banking application functionality.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other functions to define requirements and integrate solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement secure coding and unit testing practices.
- Support Location Strategy projects according to agreed plans, budgets, quality standards, and governance requirements.
- Analyze complex information, communicate technical issues, influence stakeholders, and manage operational risk and controls.
- Lead or guide complex assignments and coach team members where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience in application development using Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications or products.
- Avaloq experience is preferred; experience with alternative core banking solutions such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS may be considered.
- Experience supporting mission-critical, complex systems in a large IT organization and support environment.
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Avaloq script, UNIX, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of banking products and software development lifecycle practices.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and banking application functional modules such as securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, and payments.
- Leadership experience in Private Banking IT delivery programs is valued.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile is advantageous.
- Ability to manage risk and controls, support change and transformation, demonstrate business acumen and strategic thinking, and communicate complex information.
