Base Salary
$136k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot multidisciplinary software/hardware systems for semiconductor products.
- Design and implement C++ software using object-oriented design, system-level programming, and software architecture practices.
- Apply multithreading, multiprocessing, memory management, performance profiling, debugging, and system optimization techniques.
- Develop applications for Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Use version control systems and production software delivery pipelines.
- Perform software analysis, design, development, and unit testing.
- Travel to customer sites on short notice for software troubleshooting as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of work experience, master’s degree with 3+ years of work experience, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field with related experience.
- Extensive C++ development experience and a strong foundation in object-oriented design, system-level programming, and software architecture.
- Working knowledge of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts.
- Hands-on Windows and/or Linux application development experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, memory optimization, and system performance skills.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines in production environments.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, relational database design patterns, software development life cycle practices, and unit testing.
- Familiarity with AI tools and technologies that accelerate development and testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Semiconductor process-control or wafer-inspection domain knowledge is preferred.
