Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable NFS solutions and distributed file systems.
- Support the creation and operations of distributed systems at scale.
- Program in Go and other languages to develop high-performance storage solutions.
- Collaborate with peers to architect, develop, and optimize storage services.
- Contribute to and consume open-source software, particularly in the file-storage space.
- Solve complex large-scale technical problems and support storage platforms in production.
- Improve service availability, incident detection and recovery, change-failure rates, operational efficiency, customer adoption, and feature delivery.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of NFS, scalable file systems, and distributed storage architectures.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating highly available file-storage solutions.
- Familiarity with object storage and distributed file systems and how to scale them.
- Expertise in concurrency and parallelism models in modern programming languages such as Go.
- Passion for open-source contributions and collaboration with the storage community.
